Four Heyva Sor employees killed in an accident in Deir ez-Zor
Four members of the Kurdish Red Crescent organisation Heyva Sor a Kurd have been killed in an accident during a service mission in Deir ez-Zor in north-east Syria.
Four members of the Kurdish Red Crescent organisation Heyva Sor a Kurd have been killed in an accident during a service mission in Deir ez-Zor in north-east Syria.
Four employees of Heyva Sor a Kurd (Kurdish Red Crescent) were killed in a road accident in Deir ez-Zor on Thursday. The Kurdish Red Crescent, which is active in the autonomous region of North and East Syria, announced today the death of Luay Mihemed Bekir (born 1994 in Til Temir, staff member since 2018), Hesen Ebdulrehman Heydo (born 1983 in Dirbêsiyê, staff member since 2020), Mihemed Ebdullah El-Osman (born 2000 in Tel Şeyeb, staff member since 2024) and Elî Osman El-Casîm (born 1987 in Deir ez-Zor, staff member since 2024).
Heyva Sor a Kurd explained that the accident occurred during a service operation and expressed its deepest sympathy to the families of the victims: "Our four colleagues will remain in our memories and in our hearts."
Heyva Sor a Kurd works closely with the Autonomous Administration in the North and East Syrian region to provide healthcare to the population and runs its own emergency clinics, pharmacies and hospitals. Among other things, the organisation provides medical care in camps for displaced persons and refugees and also works under dangerous conditions in Hol Camp, where members of ISIS are interned.
