The Democratic Union Party’s (PYD) Presidential Council held a meeting in Hesekê with the participation of Kurdish tribes from the Cizire Region to discuss the political situation in the region and the obstacles in the regions of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).
During the meeting, the role played by tribes and all social groups in preserving the achievements and ensuring national unity among the components in the region was also discussed.
The meeting was attended by PYD Presidential Council Member Foza Yusif and opinion leaders of Kurdish tribes from the Cizire Region.
Speaking here, Foza Yusif pointed to the importance of national unity in confronting the genocide against the Kurdish people. She said: “We should treat national interests as a primary cause for ourselves. We should abandon the interests of parties and tribes, learn from history and avoid making mistakes.”
Kurdish tribal leaders called attention to the role of the Autonomous Administration in maintaining the common life and security of the region and called for unity among all segments of society and parties.
Highlighting the importance they attach to the unity of the Kurdish people, tribal leaders stated that a national conference should be held in order to improve the common national policies.
At the end of the meeting, the participants proposed the establishment of people’s committees to strengthen the cooperation between society and the Autonomous Administration.
