A French delegation met with representatives of the Autonomous Administration. At the meeting, a number of issues were discussed, such as the Syrian crisis, the contribution of the Autonomous Administration to the political solution, the implementation of resolution 2254 and the effects of closing Til Koçer border gate.

The French delegation headed by Jeremy Chaumatier, President of the Daniel Mitterrand Foundation, met with the Autonomous Administration Foreign Relations Department in Qamishlo.

The delegation included Paris City Council spokesperson Maru, who is responsible for monitoring Middle Eastern affairs, the head of the Veronica de Crove (URD) ​​institution, and Philip de Calimard and Corinne Bosser, from the Daniel Mitterrand Foundation.

The delegation was welcomed by Foreign Relations Department co-chair Ebdulkerîm Ömer, deputy co-chairs Fener El Giêt and Ebir Ilya, Nafiya Mihemed from the co-presidency office and Local Governments and Environment Committee co-chair Berivan Ömer.

The delegations also discussed the importance of the international community taking responsibility for the families of ISIS mercenaries and especially the children who need to be taken from the camps in Northern and Eastern Syria and returned to their countries.

The importance and role of the Autonomous Administration in securing peace and stability in the region and the need for coordination with the international community were also discussed.
