Gangs demand tribute from Afrin residents to return home

Turkey and allied gangs demand tribute from people who want to return to Afrin, while hundreds of people have been abducted by invaders to date. The names of people abducted by the Turkish state from the Kurzele village were also obtained recently.

According to sources in Afrin, the invading Turkish army’s soldiers and gangs want large sums of tribute from people who want to return to Afrin to give them their own homes.

Sources said Mustefa Nasif from the Cheqleya Navin village in the Shiye district migrated to Afrin city center following the intense bombing by the invading Turkish state, and when he wanted to return to his village he was asked for 1.5 million Syrian Liras in tribute by the gangs. The gangs had previously confiscated $500 from Nasif.

Same sources said Mustefa Nasif is staying in a cave in the village because he doesn’t have the tribute asked of him.

Another man named Bilal Teleb is staying in the ruins in the village because gangs have settled in his home and ask 2 million Syrian Liras as tribute to give it back.
