Girê Spî refugees: We want to return to our houses
Şerifa Mihemed, who was forced to emigrate from Girê Spî, said in her call to international institutions that she doesn’t ask for help, but wants the invaders to leave their land.
Şerifa Mihemed, who was forced to emigrate from Girê Spî, said in her call to international institutions that she doesn’t ask for help, but wants the invaders to leave their land.
Şerifa Mihemed, one of the hundreds of thousands of people who were forced to emigrate after the invasion of Girê Spî by the Turkish state, emphasized that she wants to return home in the call she made to the international community.
Şerifa Mihemed is now living in the village of Eyn El Betê in Kobanê. She lives with her 8 children in the house of a relative and told ANHA that her only wish is to return home. “If there had been no invasion by the Turkish state, we would have been living safely in our house. We want nothing more than to return home and live safely. We do not accept to live under the occupation of the Turkish state. I would rather live in a small room here than live under Turkish occupation."
Don’t use refugees and displaced people as bargaining chips
Reminding that she was forced to leave everything behind, Şerifa said: “We left our house with a small bag. All our belonging remained there. The mercenaries plundered our house. My call to international aid institutions is this; We want to return home; we don’t need your help. Nobody should bargain over the situation of refugees. The only need the refugees have is to be allowed to return home".
