The Turkish army and allied mercenaries continue their inhumane acts in the occupied Afrin region and other areas they have occupied in northeastern Syria.

The occupation forces have attacked the grave of Kurdish poet Xelil Şexo in the village of Ari Kusa, in Afrin’s Sherawa district. The gravestone was broken into pieces.

Cemeteries and graves in the Turkish occupied Afrin city have been targeted by repeated attacks since the invasion began in March 2018. The desecrated graves mainly belonged to the Kurdish and Yazidi people.
