Health Council of the Euphrates Canton: We cannot bring wounded people to hospital due to attacks

The Health Council of the Euphrates Canton said that in the past two days, five people were killed, and forty others injured as a result of the attack by Turkey on the Tishrin Dam. Ambulances were also targeted.

The Health Council of the Euphrates Canton held a press conference about the Turkish attacks against Tishrin Dam.

Ezîze Îbrahîm, co-chair of the Euphrates Canton Health Council, drew attention to the attacks by Turkey and its proxies on the Tishrin Dam. She added that civilians heading to the area to protect the dam from occupation, as well as ambulances, were deliberately targeted.

Îbrahîm said that five people were killed, and forty others were injured in the attacks, many of them critically. She underlined that ambulances were intentionally attacked by the occupying forces, rendering it impossible to transfer the injured to hospitals for urgent medical care.

Describing the targeting of the Tishrin Dam and ambulances as a violation of all international laws and agreements, Ezîze Îbrahîm called on international institutions and legal organizations not to remain silent about such war crimes and to fulfill their responsibilities.
