The Cizire Region Health Committee is working hard to open the first heart and eye hospital of the region in Qamishlo. 

The hospital has been a project the Health Committee has been working on for the past three 3 years, and is now expected to be operational within the next two months.

The three-storey hospital building will have wards such as emergency intervention, polyclinics, laboratory, surgery, treatment and control room. There is also a parking area in the hospital garden.

Hospital manager Mihemed Kermo stated that the population had been so far penalised as there was no heart and eye hospital in the region. Now, he added, this new hospital will help solving and coping with patients in the region itself. 

Kermo remarked that the hospital was built using resources from the budget of the Health Committee and added that works are now at their final stage and that the hospital will be operational within the next two months.

The Rojava Health Academy has a large number of heart and ophthalmologists, Kermo said, and these specialist doctors will work at the hospital.
