Heavy fighting in al-Umar between SDF and ISIS
Heavy fighting erupted in al-Umar oil field, north-east of Deir ez-Zor, on Sunday after ISIS gangs launched an attack to Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) positions.
ANHA news agency reported an assault by ISIS gangs against SDF positions in al-Umar oil field on Sunday morning.
According to SDF sources, at least seven ISIS members were killed SDF fighters destroyed two ISIS pickup trucks with heavy machine gun.
Al-Umar was liberated from ISIS by SDF on October 22.
Meanwhile, another ISIS attack against Namliya village was foiled by SDF fighters and 5 ISIS members were killed.
Namliya village is in the north-east of Deir ez-Zor. The village was liberated yesterday by SDF fighters.
