Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor a Kurd offers public health services in Shehba, where people who had to leave Afrin have settled after the Turkish and its mercenary allies’ occupation of the city.

Heyva Sor a Kurd health workers have set up a training course to provide first aid training to the people in the region.

Sixty people will attend the seminar held by health workers. The training session will last a month.

Health is one of the main issues in the camps at Shehba. The huge amount of people coming from Afrin in fact is facing many difficulties and Shehba Canton's health structures are doing their best to cope with the emergency.

Heyva Sor a Kurd has published a report detailing the health issues faced by refugees and also listing the medicines and machineries needed to cope with the situation and provide health care for all.

One example is that of pregnant women: there are limited medical and technological resources to deal with births. Indeed, there is no major problem when the woman has a natural birth. Things get more complicated in case the mother needs a cesarean section.

Heyva Sor a Kurd has documented 81 pregnancies and 261 birth giving. Of the latter, 40 required cesarean surgery.  The trauma lived by women is reflected also in their pregnancy, so five miscarriages were recorded due to psychological factors.

Heyva Sor a Kurd has made reiterated appeals to the international community to help refugees and fulfil their role and responsibility to cope with the humanitarian situation in Shehba.
