The third wave of coronavirus continues to spread rapidly in Northern and Eastern Syria. The Autonomous Administration also acted rapidly and put some regions in lockdown.
Heyva Sor a Kurd closely follows the coronavirus epidemic in Northern and Eastern Syria and creates quarantine centers, warning the public about the third wave. Speaking to ANHA about this, Sead El Ali, one of Heyva Sor a Kurd Action Chamber executives, said that the third wave is a threat everyone.
Drawing attention to the increasing cases, Ali said: "After the lockdown, more than 3,500 tests were carried out in Northern and Eastern Syria. This corresponds to an average of 650-700 tests per day. In the first and second waves, young people less infected. But the third wave threatens everyone. Children are also under great threat.”
Emphasizing that the tests performed in the center established by Heyva Sor a Kurd are completely free, Ali said: “All the health services we provide for our people to counter the coronavirus pandemic are free. We have created special phone numbers for those infected with the virus. These numbers are active for 24 hours. We immediately bring those suspected to have contracted the virus to the hospital by ambulance."
Noting that an average of 400 tests are performed daily in the Jazira region, Ali said: "We go to all villages and districts according to the criteria set by the operative centre."
Calling on people Ali said: “Everyone has to be very careful. The easiest way to avoid getting the virus is to be cautious.”
