Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê was founded on 4 March 1993 in Germany. Headquartered in the city of Troisdorf, the institution has representatives in all European countries and Rojava.
Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê, whose main task is to provide aid to people in difficult situations, has struggled with every difficult situation it has faced. It built hospitals and rushed to help in floods and earthquakes.

Some of the donations Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê made in 2021 are as follows:
-For 593 orphans and needy children in Kurdistan; 20 thousand Euros, 111 thousand Swiss Francs, 2.000 Pounds and 93 thousand Norwegian Krone were sent.
- In order to strengthen cancer prevention services in Rojava, 85 thousand Euros were sent to Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê-Italy in cooperation with the Valdese Church, and a mammography device was purchased with it.
- 291 thousand Euros were sent for the health centers under construction in Rojava.
- 141 thousand Euros were sent for the prosthesis and rehabilitation center under construction in the city of Qamishlo.
- 10 thousand Euros were sent to 5 children with chronic diseases in the Maxmur Camp for the supply of medical devices and drugs, and 20 thousand Euros were sent for the basic needs of the families in the victim situation.
- 20 thousand Euros was allocated for refugees on the Polish-Belarusian border. With this money, materials such as food, clothing, shoes, coats, raincoats and blankets were purchased and sold to Wir Packen's an e.V. It was delivered to refugees in cooperation with the aid agency named .
- 20 thousand Euro aid was sent to families whose houses were damaged due to the flood disaster that occurred on July 31 in the village of Xashkan in Wan's Elbak district.
- The institution also provides food packages and aid to families in need every year during Ramadan and Sacrifice Feasts. In 2021, a total of 80 thousand euros was allocated for the two holidays.
In 2021, 80 thousand Euros were sent to Shengal for a health project, and an ambulance and 2 morgues were purchased with it, and started to be used in the service of the people of Shengal.
