HPC joins the operation against ISIS in Hesekê

The Social Defence Forces (HPC) have joined the operation carried out by the North and East Syrian Internal Security Forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the neighbourhoods of Hesekê to capture ISIS members who attacked the Sinaa Prison.

Backed by the SDF, the North and East Syrian Internal Security Forces are continuing the operation against the ISIS cell hideouts in Hesekê.

After repelling the ISIS attack on the Sinaa Prison on January 20, the Internal Security Forces and the SDF launched a series of combing operations on January 26.

Social Defence Forces (HPC) members living in the vicinity of the prison have also participated in the campaign against the jihadist mercenaries.

“We have voluntarily participated in the operation launched by the Internal Security Forces and the SDF. Together, we are trying to clear our neighbourhoods from terrorists,” said HPC member Fewaz Nîzar Seyd Elî.

The combing operations are continuing in the Hesekê neighbourhoods. The Internal Security Forces and the SDF are checking every single house in the area. Furthermore, they are performing an identity check on those entering and leaving the neighbourhood.
