The Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) said in a statement: "In 2018, the invading Turkish state and its mercenaries occupied the city of Afrin, and attacked Rojava adopting ISIS violent methods, carrying out massacres, changing the demographic structure of the region. Crimes against humanity are still being carried out. We, the Afrin Liberation Forces, continue to carry out actions against the occupation. Today, we reiterate our promise to fulfill the hopes of the people of these these lands."

The statement stressed: "We want this to be known: We are not warlovers, but the occupation of our country will always be a reason for revenge and war. The enemies of our people understand nothing but war. On this basis, we reteirate once again our determination in fighting the invaders."

'The Freedom of Afrin is our main duty'

The statement continued: "Friends and enemies should know that the freedom of Afrin is our main sacred duty and we declare to our people once again that we will soon fulfill our duty. The suffering imposed on our people by the invading Turkish state is a flamethrower and will burn and destroy the enemy ranks.

In the second year of the invasion of Afrin, we will increase the size and strength of our war and spread it to all streets, villages and mountains of Afrin. All of Afrin and its surroundings are our war positions, and all invaders, mercenaries, agents are the target of our fighters. We will be everywhere in Afrin and we will protect our people."

Call to young people

The HRE called on all young people to take a national stance and join the Resistance of the Age; "The place of young people in this resistance process is among our ranks. Freedom is close and everyone should play their part in achieving it. 

We call on all of our people inside and outside of Afrin to keep their hopes strong. Today, our heroes take important steps towards freedom and victory with their blood and life.

We are also calling on all the people who cooperate with the invaders and harm our people to stop these practices. The occupiers have a short life left and will not protect anyone left behind when they are defeated."
