Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) continues its retaliatory actions against occupation forces in northwestern Syria.
According to a statement published on Sunday, HRE fighters carried out two actions against the invaders in the formerly self-governing district of Sherawa on May 10. The first action targeted the position of the Turkish forces near the village of Cilbir, leaving one soldier dead.
The second action was carried out in the afternoon the same day. The sabotage action by HRE targeted an assembly point of the invading groups in the outskirts of the Berad village.
According to HRE information, two members of the Turkish intelligence service MIT were killed and two others were injured. One soldier and one mercenary were also killed here.
The Afrin Liberation Forces were founded in 2018 after the occupation of Afrin by Turkey. Aiming to liberate the region from the occupiers, the resistance group carries out targeted attacks against the invading forces. Last year, 153 HRE operations in northwestern Syria killed 265 members of the Turkish army and jihadist militias.
