After Turkish army and its gangs approached within 2 kilometers of the city center, people of Afrin started actions against the invaders on Sunday. Several vehicle convoys were set up by the residents and activists toured the city to call upon all to join the human shield action.

Local sources told ANF that human shield action will start today and it aims to stop the Turkish bombing of Afrin.

Afrin is under heavy air bombardment by Turkey for the past two days. The people of the city refuse to leave their homes and vow to resist against the invasion.
