The human shield action in Girê Spî reached day 22.

Members of civil institutions in Silûk have expressed their support to the human shield action carried out in Girê Spî against the occupation threats issued by the Turkish state.

“The AKP is attacking, plundering and murdering its neighbors under the excuse of defending its national security,” said Sebrî Mistefa, vice-president of the Girê Spî Canton Assembly.

“The people of Northern and Eastern Syria will oppose these threats and any attempt to occupy the lands liberated with the precious blood of our martyrs.”

Mistefa called on everyone to mobilise in solidarity with the actions taking place in the region.

After the speech, the action continued with artistic events and Fewaz Ocan's poem recital.

Human shield actions are continuing also in Kobanê and Serêkaniyê.
