Internal security forces blow up 500 kilograms of ISIS weapons in the desert of Deir ez-Zor

In the desert of Deir ez-Zor, more than 500 kilograms of ISIS devices were safely blown up by the explosive ordnance disposal service and Asayîş.

Explosive devices, landmines, rockets and other explosive objects weighing more than half a ton were detonated in a controlled manner by experts from the explosive ordnance disposal service and the security forces of North and East Syria (Asayîş) in Deir ez-Zor. They were devices left by the Islamic State.

The war paraphernalia, including large quantities of TNT, were blown up under high security in the desert of Deir ez-Zor, away from any residential development. According to Asayîş, a significant part of the destroyed objects had only recently been discovered in various regions in the greater Deir ez-Zor area after information was sent to the operations center. The agency receives more information about ISIS bomb devices or weapons storage facilities.
