22 ISIS mercenaries were captured in a security operation launched by the Internal Security Forces in the east of Deir ez-Zor.
The Internal Security Forces in the east of Deir ez-Zor launched an operation against ISIS cells and detained 22 ISIS mercenaries.
The operation was launched following the attacks carried out in the past months against the Autonomous Administration security forces.
Providing information about the operation, Bashar Saib, Director of the Internal Security Forces, said: “After the search and follow-up activities, our forces carried out raids on suspected cells. 22 ISIS mercenaries wanted for various crimes in the region were captured during the operations carried out in the Riz region in Deir ez-Zor’s countryside. The Anti-Terrorist Forces (HAT) led the operation, which was carried out with the support of the International Coalition forces.
Security operations in the area continue.
