The Internal Security Forces have completely removed the Difa al-Watani militia affiliated to Damascus from Tai neighbourhood in Qamishlo, where clashes have been taking place for days.
The Internal Security Forces cleared Tai neighbourhood from Difa Al-Watani militia.
Clashes started on the night of 20 April when the Difa al-Watani militia affiliated to the Damascus Government attacked the checkpoint at the El Wehda crossroad.
A ceasefire was declared on 25 April under the supervision of Russia and the SDF. However, clashes erupted throughout the night when Difa al Watani attacked again.
The entire neighbourhood was cleared except from the Ebas Elawi school and the area around the water tank. The area in question has been turned into a Damascus government security forces post.
Security forces then also reached the southern part of the city and removed militia from many points in the neighbourhood.
Currently, the checkpoints of the Damascus government forces are located in the neighbourhoods of Zinud and Tay in the southern part of Qamishlo.
