In a written statement on Thursday, the Press Centre of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria said: “Our security forces carried out an effective security operation in the Kerame area east of Raqqa after gathering information and identifying the hideouts of members of an ISIS cell. During the operation, 6 members of the cell were arrested. The cell was planning to carry out a terrorist act."

It was stated that a Turkish driving licence was found on a captured gang member.

Internal Security Forces also announced that a large number of weapons, explosives and communication equipment were also received and seized.

It was informed that the arrested gang members will be referred to the courthouse after the investigation.
