Jazira Region Youth and Sports Committee started a tent action in Qamishlo to mark the 23rd anniversary of the International Conspiracy against Kurdish people Abdullah Öcalan. In addition to seminars on the International Conspiracy, videos on Abdullah Öcalan and photograph exhibitions will be shown during the 3-day event. Signatures are also being collected to remove the PKK from the list of terrorist organizations.
'Abdullah Öcalan paved the way to a free life'
Making a statement in front of the tent, the organising committee said: “Leader Öcalan stood against injustice. He paved the way for a free life for Kurds and all oppressed peoples. The capitalist system saw Leader Abdullah Öcalan as a problem and developed a counter-conspiracy.”
The statement called on all peoples to stand up and protect Öcalan.
The action will continue today. The people of Hesekê and Qamishlo, members of the Jazira Youth and Sports Committee and civil organizations will participate in the action.
