Joint anti-ISIS operation in Deir ez-Zor countryside

The operation resulted in arresting a terrorist who was responsible for facilitating the work of the ISIS cells in the region, supporting them, and supplying them with weapons.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT), along with the Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the International Coalition forces, conducted a joint security operation, on May 26th, targeting one of the ISIS terrorists in the town of al-Buneital, Deir Ezzor eastern countryside.

According to the SDF Media Center, the operation resulted in arresting a terrorist who was responsible for facilitating the work of the ISIS cells in the region, supporting them, and supplying them with weapons.

Several weapons, ammunition, and communication devices were also confiscated during the operation, including:

“Our forces are committed to continuing their joint security operations against ISIS terrorist cells in the region until they eradicate ISIS terrorism and bring safety and security,” said the SDF statement published on Sunday.
