KNK (Kurdistan National Congress) Rojava invited Kurdish political parties, youth and women’s organisations and NGOs to participate in the workshop to be held under the motto “We will defeat the invasion with national unity, we will not allow a civil war.”

Merwan Hesen, member of the KNK Executive Council, announced that the KNK is preparing for a workshop with broad participation on July 8. Pointing out the threat the Turkish state poses to the Kurdish people, he stressed the urgency of Kurdish national unity.

Hesen stated that Kurdish people have faced serious threats, saying, “The Turkish state intends to cause a civil war in South Kurdistan. In response to such attempts, we want to prove that we will defeat expansionism and will not allow an intra-Kurd war.”

Expressing that a civil war would provide nothing for the Kurdish people, he continued, “A civil war would cause serious wounds for the Kurdish people. To prevent such an end, we have invited Kurdish political parties and leading members of society to participate in the workshop. Everyone feeling responsible should attend this workshop.”
