The district of Çelebi, in the city of Kobanê , was the first to celebrate the anniversary of the 15 August 1984 PKK actions. 

Hundreds of citizens attended the demonstration carrying posters of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and PKK guerrilla commander of the time, Agit (Mahsum Korkmaz). Flags of the People's and Women’s Defense Units,  YPG and YPJ, were flying among the crowd. 

Civil society organisations’ representatives as well as music groups belonging to the culture and art movement in Kobanê animated the stage. 

The celebrations in the Canton of Kobanê continue on Tuesday.
