The Kongra Star Afrin Coordination and Leadership Committee has organised a seminar to mark 4 April, Öcalan’s birthday in Til Rifat, Shehba. The seminar, attended by many people, started with a minute silence.

Speaking at the seminar, Feride Ibo, member of Kongra Star Afrin Coordination, said: "Our aim in organizing this seminar is to introduce the reality of leader Öcalan and the isolation that has been applied to him by the Turkish state through international forces for 22 years. We want the refugees in Shehba to know his reality."

Ibo issued a called to international human rights organizations and asked for more pressure to be put on the Turkish state. Underlining that the freedom of President Öcalan means the freedom of all women, Ibo said: “We will continue to fight with this belief. We will not stop until President Öcalan is free."
