The al-Bab al-Hawa border crossing which ensures the delivery of humanitarian aid to Syria, will be closed on July 10.
Several states, including the member states of the International Coalition Against ISIS, are putting pressure on the international community to open the border crossings, especially the Yarbubiyah (Til Kocher) border crossing located between Iraq and North-East Syria regions.
“Border crossings are the lifeblood of every region or city. All border crossings of the Autonomous Administration are being closed by Russia and the Turkish state. This region has sacrificed too many martyrs to eliminate the world's largest terrorist organization,” Lehdo said.
Lehdo pointed out that the states in the region are trying to weaken the Autonomous Administration by waging a water and economic war.
“Border crossings are being closed in the region, with an economic and humanitarian embargo being imposed. All health and food supplies were provided through these border gates. Especially due to the coronavirus epidemic, there is a need for a lot of medicine and health equipment in the region,” he noted.
“The opening of the Til Koçer border crossing, in particular, is of economic, humanitarian and vital importance for the northern and eastern Syria regions. It is a good development that the international community is putting pressure for the border Gates to be opened,” Lehdo added.
