The Manbij Military Council has announced their first military regiment with the name “Martyr Adnan Abu Amjad”.

Manbij Legal Council Co-chair Nezifa Xelo, Executive Council Co-chair Zeynab Qenber and several Manbij Military Council commanders were present in the closing term.

The military division is comprised of 5 battalions with 250 fighters and the fighters have received 45 days of training.

The declaration ceremony for the regiment started with a military ceremony, after which Manbij Military Council Commander Cemil Mazlum gave a speech and announced the name of the first military brigade in Manbij as “Martyr Adnan Abu Amjad”.

Manbij Military Council Commander Adnan Abu Amjad had been martyred on August 29 in the operation to liberate Raqqa.
