Manbij Democratic Civil Administration condemned the explosion in the city on Thursday.
The Administration said that “those who plan to break the will of the people, will not succeed. We remain strongly opposed to Turkish occupation.”
A mine exploded near the school of Al-Haya in eastern Manbij on Thursday morning while people were rallying to reiterate their opposition to the threats made by the Turkish state. One civilian lost his life while at least 20 were injured.
Manbij Democratic Civil Administration reiterated in a written statement its strongest condemnation for the explosion and the threats by the Turkish state.
The statement also added: “We will continue in the building of a free life despite these coward attacks aimed at spreading confusion on people. These attacks target civilians in the hope to alter the regional stability”.
