Manbij Legislative Assembly co-chair, Cûma Heyder, said that the recognition of the Autonomous Administration's status will solve many problems.
Calls and appeals to the international community for the recognition of the status of the Autonomous Administration, which governs the regions of North and East Syria, are multiplying.
The Autonomous Administration has been successfully governing the region, embracing all nations and focusing on women and youth. The people of the region say that the recognition of the status of the Autonomous Administration, which sets an example for the peoples of the Middle East with its diversity, will play an important role in resolving the Syrian crisis.
Manbij Legislative Assembly co-chair, Cûma Heyder, told ANHA: "Since the Syrian Revolution, some groups have taken refuge in foreign powers to achieve their own goals. We see that the only solution to get rid of this situation is the recognition of the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration.”
Heyder said that the groups that emerged at the beginning of the Syrian Revolution pillaged the infrastructure of the country and added: “They plundered. They destroyed it. They stole people's belongings. The Autonomous Administration wants to rebuild the infrastructure of the region, develop a project covering the whole of Syria despite the threats of the invading Turkish state, and ensure security and stability.”
Heyder added: “In order to maintain stability in the region, there is a need for a guarantor. We believe that the Autonomous Administration was built on a traditional basis, starting with the commune, developing with the government, the legislature and its administration.”
Heyder said that the Autonomous Administration, which enables the people to make decisions, is based on the people.
Underlining that as the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, they fully believe in the unity of the Syrian people and land and in the defense of social unity, Heyder said: “The recognition of the Autonomous Administration is a duty and a demand. It is the primary solution for us to get out of the crisis. Because it provides security, stability, development, dignified life, justice and equality for us."
A hashtag campaign was launched on social media on 18 July demanding and supporting the recognition of the status of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria. More than ten thousand people joined the campaign.
