Manbij Military Council released a statement announcing the death of one of their commanders, Bozan Berkel, on Wednesday.

According to the statement, Bozan Berkel lost his life after the detonation of a bomb placed in his car in Manbij this morning.

Manbij Military Council stated that Bozan Berkel was one of their first companions to join the struggle, and was active in the Military Relations Office.

“He was a tireless comrade who had an active role among the peoples and tribes with his strong stance and good morals. We in the Manbij Military Council reiterate our promise to follow in his footsteps and avenge him, and to get rid of the vicious hands of the tyrants seeking to disturb the security and stability of our region,” said the statement.
