Manbij Association of Young Women and the Revolutionary Youth Movement held a march to protest the attacks of the Turkish state and violence against women under the slogan “Let us establish our unity, let us defeat the invasion”. The march was participated by Democratic Civil Administration Institutions.
The march was followed by a demonstration at the Meseb Junction where a press statement was read out.
‘Freewill of the people in the region is targeted’
Reading the statement, Hela El-Casim, member of Association of Young Women said, “The majority of vicious policies and plans have targeted women. Women have been exposed to psychological and physical violence, kidnapping cases and all kind of brutal and immoral tortures. The occupiers mainly aim to eliminate the willpower of the people and interrupt the stability in the region.”
The statement stressed that women get strength and willpower from the Democratic Nation project constituted by the Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan who -it said- has a key role for resolving the problems in the Middle East and the world.
