Daban Şêxo (Daban Kobanê) fell a martyr during his duty in the Self-Defense Forces. He was laid to rest in the Martyr Dicle Cemetery.

Speaking at the funeral, which started with a minute silence, Nebo Temo, co-chair of the Euphrates Region Self-Defense Mission Office, said: “The history of Kurdistan has changed with the establishment of the Kurdish Freedom Movement. The resistance of the Kurdish people against ISIS in Kobanê proved this. Today, the guerrilla continues to resist the Turkish invasion with the same heroism. We should all question ourselves. We wouldn't be where we are today without our martyrs. We know that the movement paid a heavy price for Kurdistan and thanks to our martyrs we will definitely defeat the enemy."

Letife Silêman, a member of Kongra Star Şêran Coordination, said: “Our martyrs paid a heavy price for the freedom of our peoples. We will continue our struggle until the martyrs' goals are achieved."

Silêman added: "When the Turkish state could not break the resistance of the guerrilla, it tried to turn Kurds against each other. No matter what it does, it will not succeed.”

Martyr Daban's uncle said: "Our is a common pain. Thanks to our martyrs, we live freely in this land. What is required of us is to protect our martyrs. We will continue to fight on the path they showed us.”

After the speeches, the certificate of martyrdom was read and delivered to his family. At the end of the ceremony, Martyr Daban was buried with zılgıts and slogans.
