Martyr Families Council in Afrin Canton held a funeral ceremony for Sewsen Mihemed (Sewsen Birhat), Siham Şex Qenber (Rojda Cudi) and a member of Internal Security Forces Mistefa Ehmed, in Ehdas, in the canton of Shehba. The ceremony was attended by hundreds of citizens from Afrin and Shehba.

Avdar Elo, member of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) read the condolence message of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The message said: “Once again, we promise to follow the paths of our martyrs. We promise to complete their dreams of building a free society. Martyr Sewsen had known the Kurdistan Liberation Movement since she was a little child. She grew up with a patriotic family, and in 1966, she joined political activities. Afterwards, she got military and political training. Deepening her thoughts in the field of women’s liberation, she became a leading figure in the women’s struggle, and insistently took active roles in all actions and operations. Comrade Sewsen fulfilled her mission as a commander until the last moment of her life.”

An audio record of Martyr Rojda Cudi was played after the condolences message.

Sureye Hebeş, member of the Martyrs’ Families Council in Afrin Canton, called on the whole people to enhance the struggle against the hostile policy of the Turkish state.”
