Families of martyrs from Raqqa held a press conference to condemn the Turkish state’s threats.
The families of martyrs from Raqqa gathered at the Raqqa Martyrs’ graveyard and held a press conference to condemn the threats issued against Northern and Eastern Syria by the Turkish state.
The statement was read by Shemsit al-Ehmed, a member of the Martyrs’ Families Council.
“Erdoğan's threats to Northern and Eastern Syria - said al-Ehmed - are not new. The occupying Turkish state is one of the leading countries supporting terrorist organizations, especially DAESH mercenaries.”
The threats against the Northern and Eastern Syrian regions, added al-Ehmed “are issued at a time when DAESH mercenaries are actually drawing their last breath.”
The statement continued: “As families of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the people and the country, we strongly condemn the threats and attacks of the Turkish state.
The people of the region were forced to migrate due to the attacks and their lives were disrupted. On this occasion, we call upon all revolutionary movements and to the UN and democratic institutions to fulfill their moral duties.”
