Mazlum Abdi: Cooperation between AANES and people proves we are on the right path

“We call on our people to stand with the institutions of the Autonomous Administration and support the administration, said SDF Commander General.

In northern and eastern Syria, an attempt to raise the price of fuel has now been aborted after talks with the population. Due to broad demands from the population, the Co-Presidency of the Executive Committee of AANES (Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria) cancelled the decision no. 119 which stipulates an increase in fuel prices in North-East Syria.

SDF Commander General Mazlum Abdi stated that revocation of the decision demonstrates the progressive collaboration of the Autonomous Administration and the locals.

A Twitter post by the SDF Commander-in-chief Abdi said, “For a long while now, we have witnessed a progressive cooperation between the Autonomous Administration and the people. This proves that we are on the right path for building a good future.

We are aware that the administration tries to focus primarily on urgent services as electricity, water, education and health. Yet, the authorities must be clear with regard to making and discussing the decisions.”

Addressing to the people, Abdi said, “We call on our people to stand with the institutions of the Autonomous Administration and support the administration. Also, we call on our people to be conscious against those intending to disturb the stability in the region.”
