Local sources have confirmed that in the village of Satiya in the Jindires district of Afrin, Turkish-linked mercenary groups known as Faylaq al-Sham and Al-Hamzat, have kidnapped two people. According to the sources a high ransom was paid asked for the release of the kidnapped civilians.

Other sources also said that the mercenaries seized the houses of the people and converted them into military bases. The house of Ehmed Hiso, a citizen from Afrin, was seized.

Local sources also tell of good being stolen from local village mosques by mercenaries.

Mercenaries are said to have plundered the sumac fields in the village of Satiya. It was stated that the mercenaries also forced villagers who counter them to sell them sumac for an imposed price of 700 Syrian Lira a kilo. This is half the price for a kilo sumac in Afrin, normally sold at 1400-1500 Syrian Lira.

The occupying Turkish army and its allied mercenaries have abducted 140 citizens in the month of June alone, and set fire to large fields. The fate of many of the abducted people remains unknown.
