Mercenaries linked to Turkey continue to kidnap and harass people in Afrin

In the last week, 9 people have been kidnapped by the Turkish army and its mercenaries in Afrin.

Sources from the region reported that the Turkish state's MIT and its mercenaries kidnapped 9 citizens, two of them women, from villages and districts in the occupied Afrin canton last week.

4 citizens were kidnapped in Cindirêsê district. The names of the abducted are as follows:

The names of Riyad Ekrem Şêx (34), Hemîd Newres Îsmaîl (24), Xelîl Riyad (30) other citizens could not be reached. The fate of the abducted is unknown.

According to the sources in the occupied canton, the "Feyleq al-Sham" gangs under the control of Mihemed Ehmed Ali (Ebo Cafer) kidnapped and raped a citizen named S.S.D. (22).

In Shera district, MIT kidnapped an old woman named Ewas Hisên from the village of Dersiwan and released her after 3 days for 2 thousand Syrian liras. In addition, the joint patrol of the "Military Police" and "Cebhe Şamiya" gangs, who kidnapped a citizen named Izet Xelil from the village of Meirsek, who had already been kidnapped once, released him for a ransom.

"Military Police" gangs kidnapped 2 citizens in Shiyê district. The names of the citizens are as follows: Ali Hisên Ali (27) and Wail Sibhi Ehmed (31). A third one named Murhef El Hewa was abducted from Afrin and taken to an unknown place.

According to local sources, on 17 August, the so-called Turkish court in Afrin increased the sentence of Raxib Ehmed Elo (34) from 3 to 12 years.

It is known that Elo returned to Afrin in July of last year and was kept in the Marat prison in Afrin, after being kidnapped by the "Cebhe al-Shamiye" gangs, handed over to the MIT and sentenced.

15 olive trees cut down

Local sources reported that on Saturday, 13 August, "Mutesim" gangs cut down the olive trees around the Eşrefiye Mahallesi in the center of the occupied Afrin city.

In addition, other sources recorded that a group of Turkish-linked gangs cut down 15 olive trees in village of Tirinde in occupied Afrin.

In the district of Mabeta, "Emşat" gangs imposed a tax of one thousand Syrian liras on each land owner during the walnut harvest season.

Another source stated that "Mihemed El Fatah" gangs started to build a new mosque in the village of lower Gewrika after they built one in the village of upper Gewrika, and this whole project was carried out within the framework of demographic change.

Built by the same gangs with the support of Gulf organizations, the two mosques are less than a kilometre away from each other.

Yazidi people forced to pray in mosques

It is known that the number of mosques built by the invaders has reached 24. Most of these mosques are located in Yazidi villages, and the mercenaries force Yazidi residents to pray there.
