According to reports by ANHA News Agency, SDF fighters liberated Mergede town and twenty-four villages. SDF also foiled an attack by ISIS gangs in Al-Umar oil fields.
SDF launched Operation Cizire Storm on September 9 against ISIS gangs in Deir ez-Zor governate. The fighters moved into the Mergede town and surrounding villages on Wednesday night. After clashes, the town and twenty-four villages were liberated.
In a separate development, ISIS gangs launched an attack against SDF fighters in Al-Umar oil field. SDF foiled the attack and three ISIS members were killed.
