Movements have been registered at Serêkaniyê border after Erdoğan made a statement ridden with threats to occupy the east of the Euphrates on Wednesday.

Local sources said that the Turkish army was patrolling with armoured vehicles the Serêkaniyê’s border region of Elok and specifically from Til Xelef to Nestelê.

Sources also said to have heard gunfire from time to time around the same area and confirmed they saw reconnaissance airplanes flying over the region of Elok.
