SDF fighters rescued thousands of civilians from the Al-Sousse and Baghouz towns yesterday. The civilians walked 15 kilometers to reach the safety corridor SDF opened and were taken to safe areas despite attacks by ISIS.
The civilians greeted by SDF fighters were crying tears of joy upon being free from years of ISIS tyranny and flashed victory signs.
The rescued civilians said there are still thousands of civilians waiting to be rescued in the region and that they are unable to leave as ISIS has planted landmines throughout the area.
