MSD Spokesman said the people and armed forces of North and East Syria would be defending themselves and their lands in the event of an attack by the Turkish state.
Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) Spokesman Emced Osman spoke to Hawar News Agency (ANHA) on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s threats against North and East Syria.
Osman pointed to the high probability of a Turkish attack against the region, adding; “Despite the border security mechanism agreement made by SDF and Turkey through the US, Turkey increasingly continues with its threats against the region.”
Remarking that Turkey felt uncomfortable with the border security deal and did not want to accept it, Emced said; “Turkey threatens the environment of peace and security in North and East Syrian territory.”
Emced pointed out that Turkey eliminated the Autonomous Administration from the committee claimed to have been founded to solve the Syrian crisis.
MSD Spokesman said that they continued to push for diplomacy, adding; “If efforts to find a solution fail and if the region is attacked, the peoples in the region and the SDF will not stand idle with hands tied. They will protect themselves and their lands most strongly.”
