“National Army” beats, insults and arrests a number of Afrin residents

SOHR reports ongoing arbitrary arrests by Turkish-backed gangs in the occupied Afrin territory.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah” faction arrested and severely beaten a civilian from Afrin, on February 28, for rejecting to transport water for free to this faction.

On February 26, Sultan Suleiman Shah faction “Al-Amshat” arrested two civilians from Kakhira village in Maabatli district, on the charge of “participating in the funeral of military personnel of “YPG” during the Autonomous Administration control of Afrin, according to SOHR.

The observatory noted that the Amshat faction also arrested another man from Kakhira village and severely beat him because the man asked “Amshat” members to leave his shop, but he was severely beaten, causing him injuries in his head.

Yesterday, SOHR reported that members of a patrol of Al-Sham Corps, which is close to the Turkish Intelligence, arrested five civilians from Al-Ghazawiyah village in Sherawa district on February 23, on the charge of “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration”, and collecting ransoms from them.
