North and East Syrian Women's Committee visits Serêkaniyê camp

A delegation consisting of members of the North and East Syrian Women's Committee visited the Serêkaniyê camp to listen to the demands of migrant women and to monitor their situation.

A year has passed since the invasion campaign of the Turkish state against Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî. A delegation from the North and East Syrian Women's Committee visited the Serêkaniyê camp in the east of Hesekê to see the situation of migrant women and to listen to their demands.

The delegation consisted of chairperson of the North and East Syrian Women's Committee Cihan Xidir, vice-chair Ruken Mele İbrahim, Hesekê Canton Council Co-chair Semer El Abdullah, Cizre Region Women's Committee Chair Zeynep Saroxa, Hesekê Canton Women's Council Committee Spokesperson Fatma İbrahim and member Ebir Osib.

Meeting with the Serêkaniyê camp administration, the delegation received information about the conditions of the migrants and the difficulties they have experienced. The delegation then visited the families in the camp and listened to their demands.

Speaking about the purpose of the visit, the Committee chairperson Cihan Xıdır stated that they made their visit on the anniversary of the invasion attacks of the invading Turkish state and their gangs against Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî and said that they supported all immigrants.

Promising to stand by the immigrants, Cihan Xıdır added; “We will try to free all our occupied regions from the invaders. The Syrian crisis will be resolved with the end of the occupation. We were asked to establish dialogue within Syria.”

Cihan Xıdır called on all democratic forces and opponents to sit at the dialogue table and end the Syrian crisis.
