North and East Syrians protest the Turkish state

People took to the streets in several cities of North and East Syria in protest at Turkey’s attacks on guerrilla-controlled Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

The attacks of the Turkish state on Medya Defense Zones were protested in several cities of North and East Syria.

People in North and East Syrian continue their actions to protest the Turkish state’s attacks on Metina, Zap and Avashin regions of on Medya Defense Zones ongoing since April 23rd and to salute the resistance of the guerrilla forces.

TIL KOCHER

Citizens of Til Koçer held a march to protest the invasion attacks of the Turkish state on Medya Defense Zones. During the march which began in front of the Shewafe school, the protestors carried banners saying, “No to silence of international community against Kurdish genocide” and “No to Turkish occupation”.

Newaf Xedan, co-chair of Til Kocher Council, spoke at the demo and said, “The Turkish state seeks to subject the Kurds to a genocide but is confronted and halted by the guerrilla resistance. We will continue standing with the guerrilla forces. Everyone must express reaction to the Turkish state and frustrate the conspiracies.”

The demonstration ended with slogans.

ALEPPO

Likewise, a protest demonstration was held in Sheikh Maqsoud neighbourhood of Aleppo. Representatives of political parties under the umbrella of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) gathered at the Martyr Destina Square.

Future Syria Party Women’s Council administrator Xalide Ebdo read the press statement in the name of the group and said, “The Turkish state wants to hide its failure. In fact, it retrieves casualties from the conflict areas every day.”

Ebdo pointed to the Turkish state’s attacks against Syrian peoples and continued, “The Turkish state cuts off the water flowing over Euphrates River to North and East Syria. It deploys mercenary gangs in order to disturb the peace in the region, attacks civilian settlements with artillery and disregards any international humanitarian criterion.”
