Norwegian Foreign Ministry envoy met Autonomous Administration
Norwegian Foreign Ministry representative, Kristian Netland, visited the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration headquarters in Eyn Isa.
Norwegian Foreign Ministry representative, Kristian Netland, visited the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration headquarters in Eyn Isa.
Netland was greeted by Abdulkerîm Umer, co-chair of the Autonomous Administration Foreign Relations Department. The diplomatic executives held a 2-hour meeting.
After the meeting, Netland said: “I am honored to be among you in this region” and added that he discussed the humanitarian situation in the region with the Autonomous Administration executives.
“Norway values the valuable support the work of the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration with refugees. Good support is offered to refugees.”
Netland said that he has discussed various topics of interest for both Administrations and will deliver the letter of the Autonomous Administration to the Norwegian government. “We believe - he said - that good relations between the Norwegian government and the Autonomous Government will be established.”
