In Syria, a civil war has been continuing for the last ten years. Despite many years passing over, the Damascus government and the so-called Syrian opposition have not been able to provide stability in the regions under their control. However, peoples of the Autonomous Administration which was constituted in North and East Syria have managed to build a peaceful life. The forces seeking for intervention in the peaceful atmosphere established by the Autonomous Administration and provocations in the region are continuously taking action. Especially the Turkish state intends to cause internal conflicts among peoples to pave the way for invading the region. Opinion leaders in Sirrin district of Kobane spoke to ANHA on the issue and called on everyone to be cautious against these vicious schemes and stand with the Autonomous Administration.
‘We should defend the stability built in the region’
Hazim Hemdan, one of the opinion leaders from El-Ewn tribe said, “North and East Syrian peoples are responsible for standing against those intending to sow discord. We, as true owners of these lands, should defend the co-existence of the peoples. We should not allow any discord attempts. The Kurds, Arabs and Turkmens are all fellows of each other. Hence, we, all together, should defend our lands and stand against the provocations.”
‘The peoples should unite’
Stressing the necessity of a common stance and cooperation with the Autonomous Administration in order to eliminate the dangers threatening the fraternity of the peoples, Xelil Reşo, opinion leader of El-Fedan tribe, said, “We, as peoples in the region, have been in a delicate and critical period. Therefore, everyone should be cautious against discord and provocation attempts. We, as Syrian peoples, have lived together throughout the history. Some forces intend to benefit from the fragile conditions of the current period and cause internal conflicts among the peoples. They mainly aim to make away with the Autonomous Administration project. In response, we, as peoples, should stand with the Autonomous Administration and enhance our support. We should strengthen the bond of the peoples.”
‘Nobody should base on individual interests’
Likewise, Mihemed Eli Xelil, one of the opinion leaders from El-Ewn tribe said, “We, as peoples of North-East Syria, have been living together fraternally. The fraternity of the peoples is not a dream. Now, we are living under the governance of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. Kurdish and Arab peoples have been living together on these lands for thousands of years. The peoples should strengthen the solidarity with each other. Nobody should pursue individual interests. What matters today is to constitute unity and eliminate the provocations. We should pay a delicate attention to those seeking to interrupt our security. The Turkish state intends to disturb the security and invade the region. We reject these attempts; all peoples should live in peace.”
