“Our belief in SDF motivated us to support them”

The chieftains stressed their support for SDF and their willingness to provide them with hundreds of fighters from the tribe.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, received, on Saturday, the chieftains and dignitaries of Bakara clan, to discuss the future of the region, as well as to identify the problems and obstacles hindering planned progress process.

The chieftains stressed their support for SDF and their willingness to provide them with hundreds of fighters from the tribe because the trends and aspirations are the same.

They also brought with them many demands that summarized the suffering of the people, the most important of which are:

– Supporting the civil council, and holding the corrupt in civil and military institutions accountable.

– The need to reopen the Salihiya crossing point to alleviate the suffering of the people by moving between the areas under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the areas under the control of the Syrian regime.

- Removal of tribal affiliation from civil and military institutions.

- Improving service reality in general, and health and education in particular

– Finding appropriate solutions to the water and road problems.

In turn, the Commander in Chief, Mazloum Abdi, expressed his appreciation for the honorable stances of Bakara clan since the beginning of SDF campaign against terrorism.

He noted that the Turkish invasion first and the Corona pandemic second hindered the implementation of economic and service plans, and that the general leadership is working to resolve all obstacles facing the people of Deir ez-Zor and other areas.
