With the development of a new life in the northern and eastern Syrian region, social defence began to be created step by step.
While the Turkish state has never ceased trying to eradicate the region's peace and security environment since the first day of the revolution, the people have strengthened the resistance ranks day by day at the sacrifice of their lives.
Members of the Social Defense Forces (HPC) and Hesekê residents spoke to ANHA about the resistance they have created against ISIS and the Turkish state's massacre in this manner.
HPC member Fehed El-Wezir, who emphasized the importance of people's support for security forces in the protection of society and nature, remarked that the protection of society's nature plays an important role in people's defence.
Emphasizing that everyone bears responsibility for defence, Fehed El-Wezir said that "We already have a system of defense. Everyone is responsible for defending their family, home, and country from attacks. If one doesn't have a role, this system will come to an end very rapidly," he said.
In response to attacks in Northern and Eastern Syria, self-defence committees were formed in communes and assemblies in all neighborhoods.
HPC, a volunteer-led defence network, stood with the Internal Security Forces and SDF, standing guard for days to protect cities, towns and neighbourhoods.
'OUR NATIONAL MISSION IS TO DEFEND THE REGION'
HPC member Ebdulkerim Mihemed also said that they defended themselves together with their children and neighbours, stating, "Two days ago, I, my children, and my neighbours defended our neighborhood together. We repeat, we will defend our territory and stand by our military troops". He assured that the attacks would be defeated.
Mihemed continued, "We are patrolling until the morning to safeguard our neighborhood. We don't take breaks because this is a national obligation. We should protect ourselves, our children, and our country from anyone who seeks to undermine society's security."
ALL COMPONENTS OF THE REGION SHOULD STAND BY THE SDF
Farûq Tozo, Co-Chair of Cizre Yazidi House, remarked that the Turkish state's latest attacks on Shengal, Derik, Northern and Eastern Syria were motivated by ISIS' setback in the Sinaa Prison raid.
According to Ebdurezaq Mihemed, there is a strong link between the attacks on Hesekê and the attacks on Dêrik, Shengal, and Makhmur. After the defeat of ISIS, they want to break the will of the Autonomous Administration, which includes all its components, and they try to do this by bombing everywhere."
Nuri El Ehmed, a resident of Eziziye District, denounced the Turkish state's massacre in Northern and Eastern Syria by calling for an end to the international community's atrocities. Nuri El Ehmed urged all regional components to support the SDF, emphasizing that the SDF can maintain the region's security.
