The invading Turkish state and its mercenaries heavily bombed the villages of Niwêhat, Xedrawî and Dada Ebdal in Zirgan. The attacks of the Turkish state targeting civilian settlements resulted in pretty heavy material damage. Villagers whose houses were bombed, however, renewed their message of resistance.
Mihemed Xelef, who lives in the village of Niwêhat, told ANHA that they have not been able to live in peace in their village since the Turkish state occupied Serêkaniyê [in October 2019] and added: "They drop bombs on us every day, even though we do not fire a single bullet at them. Our children could not leave the house because of fear. The aim of the Turkish state is to seize our properties by displacing us from here. We will continue to resist all kinds of attacks. We will never leave our lands."
Elya Ehmed, who lives in the village of Hermela, said that bombs hit her house. Noting that the Turkish state is targeting the environment of peace and security in the region, Elya Ehmed said: "Since the Turkish state occupied Serêkaniyê, we haven't been safe at home even for a day. We continue to be the target of bombs."
